Bluebonnet Cafe

One of our favorite places to eat is in Marble Falls, Texas. The Bluebonnet Cafe has great food and we stop anytime we are close. We had lunch going to Dallas and breakfast coming back to Kenedy.

Roadside Beauty

We had to take a trip to Beeville to have our fingerprints done. This was to complete our security license requirements. We ate lunch at Elder’s Country Store and Market. It has been there since the 60’s and we had a very good and affordable lunch special of chicken fried steak, potatoes, and green beans. On the way home we stopped at a park on the side of highway. Lots of huge oak trees and wildflowers.

I forgot my DSLR camera but not bad for a iPhone

A great day in Beeville. We will be back!

Marfa Burrito

We had heard this was a great place for breakfast, so we gave it a try.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside…but it was great!!
Very little English spoken, but we managed.
The menu was the bright pink poster on the wall. We had the Primo.
As you can see it was big and delicious.
The green sauce in the spoon added some heat. Coffee was free.
Nice home cooked meal. We highly recommend this place!!
Muy Bueno!!

Alpine Texas

Went to Alpine today. It was time to do some grocery shopping and laundry.

Seafood at Beach Street Grill….mmm good!!

Beach St and Station St. Grill Port Aransas, Texas

This place was highly recommended to us for great seafood. Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but wow…It was great!! I had the fried flounder. Laura and her sister had the blackened flounder, and her nephews had the Mahi-Mahi and Broiled flounder with shrimp. Everybody’s plate was clean when we left. Some-not me, had the key lime pie that looked wonderful. Be prepared to wait a while(even though we didn’t have to), its a small place. I thought the prices were fine considering it is seafood and how good it is. Now I can highly recommend it. We will be back.
